Human Resources Assistant

Aurora, OR

The Aurora site opened in 1997, and is located just 30 minutes south of Portland, Oregon in the beautiful Willamette Valley. The site has 37 acres of greenhouse and 3 acres of field space. In 2013, we added a 3-acre State-of-the-art glass greenhouse which has allowed the facility to repurpose 40,000 gallons of water every day helping to reduce our carbon footprint.

JOB FUNCTION


HR Assistant is responsible for supporting with administrative and HR functions and programs. Such as assisting with employee orientation and running of the main office. This position operates in a professional office environment.

JOB DUTIES


  • Provide administrative support to Human Resource Generalist.
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, surveys etc.) and meeting minutes.
  • Assist with Health Benefits.
  • Assist with employee relations.
  • Support with termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Collaborate with the recruiter with orientation and hiring process.
  • Manage workshare program.
  • Maintain digital communication screens updated regularly.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal and financial data.
  • Collaborate with HRG for continuous improvements efforts.
  • Keep up to date with employee best practices.
  • Other tasks as delegated.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing, in person, and via phone or radio with all levels of staff.
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to analyze information quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION


  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant, recruiting, or relevant human resource/administrative position.
  • Experience with HRIS or HRMS preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required, both verbal and written.
  • Position requires a valid driver’s, proof of state required insurance and personal vehicle for occasional business errands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • An office environment with some outdoor/greenhouse elements.
  • Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time.
  • Walking, reaching, lifting (30 pounds max) and climbing stairs.

PAY RANGE


$20.00-21.50 an hour

  • $17-$18.50 Per Hour
  • $21.00 - $23.00
