Inventory Coordinator
Pacific Plug & Liner was founded in October 1999 and is located on the beautiful California Central Coast with a climate ideal for plant and flower production. JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Staff member is primarily responsible for documenting inventory levels and accuracy through physical audits of crops and performs a variety of duties aimed at increasing inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform crop count verifications on planted trays.
- Using Picas system, accurately count inventory daily based on sales demand, spec changes, and plant readiness.
- Evaluate plants based on start and finish week and communicate plant availability.
- Participate in weekly and yearly physical count audits
- Communicate with Fulfillment team on any crop updates via picture and email on plant quality.
- Identify issues and offer solutions on variance between Picas numbers and planted quantities.
- Contact customer service on order issues, offer options for resolving order issues, helping change orders, clear negative quantities, and relaying order changes to Selecting and Staging.
- Collaborate on special project like push list, dump lists, local sale etc..
- Take and download pictures of site 45 crops as available or as requested for visual verification.
- Tracking of Dump records by entering/verifying dump reports.
- Understand the process when a shortage or back order occurs, from changing staging pick tickets to adjusting availability)
- Be able to flag items with availability, dump flag, or local sale flag.
- Perform other various tasks or work in other departments as necessary during slow shipping time of year.
- Verify integrity of Picas Data Program.
- Analyze and communicate crops that are saleable.
- Keep accurate count on daily inventory.
- Evaluate plant quality and add growing activities in Picas

- Analytical Skills:- Ability to analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Communication Skills:- Ability to report issues, provide updates, and coordinate with others to resolve inventory-related matters.
- Technical Proficiency:- ability to use barcode scanners, inventory tracking systems, and other relevant tools.
- Time Management:- Balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: - Coordinate with other departments to align inventory management with overall greenhouse operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Experience in greenhouse or nursery environment preferred
- Plant knowledge preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work long hours as needed during the busy season, including weekends.
- Work in both an office and warehouse environment.
- Work indoors and outdoors, in seasonal temperatures and conditions.
- Office environment, long hours sitting in front of a computer.
- Ability to cross over greenhouse rails
PAY RANGE
$21 - $23
- $16-$18
