Production Lead

The Aurora site opened in 1997, and is located just 30 minutes south of Portland, Oregon in the beautiful Willamette Valley. The site has 37 acres of greenhouse and 3 acres of field space. In 2013, we added a 3-acre State-of-the-art glass greenhouse which has allowed the facility to repurpose 40,000 gallons of water every day helping to reduce our carbon footprint.

JOB SUMMARY


The Production Lead is responsible for making sure team has all materials needed to complete daily worklist safely.  The Production Lead assists and supports department supervisor with conducting daily operations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Familiar with department task, leads and works alongside crew to ensure proper execution of daily worklist.
  • Communicates daily team task instructions and day-to-day operational guidance.
  • Works closely with supervisors to train crews in daily tasks.
  • Able to operate all tools needed to perform the job.
  • Works in other departments when season requires help elsewhere.
  • Understands department direction.
  • Promotes safety.
  • Participates on department continues improvement and 6S initiatives.
  • Conducts self with high-level integrity, adhering to company standards and values.
  • Enforces attendance policy
  • Accountable for retention metrics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Prior experience leading a team preferred.
  • Detail and safety oriented.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Experience in agriculture industry preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Work holidays and weekends as required
  • Work indoors and outdoors, in seasonal temperatures and conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous walk, stand, bend kneel; reach overhead and from side to side for long periods.

PAY RANGE


Up to $17 per hour

  • $17-$18.50 Per Hour
  • $21.00 - $23.00
