IT Analyst – HRMS/Payroll
Smith Gardens is a wholesale nursery company that is headquartered in Bellingham, Washington, and has been family owned for over 100 years with facilities in three states.
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Analyst - HRMS/Payroll will support HR and Payroll departments with their business applications. This includes understanding and implementing new business requirements, monitoring system integrity and report development. Troubleshooting system issues and coordination of HR and Payroll application upgrades and enhancements. This position will require daily communication between business customers, technical staff, and external vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide technical support for HR and payroll software with internal staff and external vendors
- Manage user security roles and permissions
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, and IT teams
- Serve as a project coordinator for software implementation and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with regulations
- Identify and eliminate data integrity issues
- Document customer requirements, business logic, and technical requirements
- Create and maintain standardized reports and data analysis
- Track issues and prioritize workload using the service desk solution

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years’ technical HR and payroll application support experience
- 3-5 years’ experience working with SQL Server
- 3-5 years’ experience creating and maintaining reports and data analytics
- BA/BS degree in HR, IT, or related field or equivalent experience
- Subject to background check
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Products
- Good understanding of SQL database technologies
- Basic knowledge of networking and MS Active Directory technologies
- Experience in technical support of HR and payroll applications
- Experience in developing requirements and technical specifications
- Willingness to work overtime and outside of standard business hours
PAY RANGE
$75,000-$90,000 Annually
- $16-$18
- $24 - $26
